Goal: STIMULATE IMAGINATION (Reading, viewing and listening for pleasure)

Objective: Residents will have and use materials and programs that excite their imaginations and provide pleasurable reading, viewing and listening experiences.

GOAL: CELEBRATE DIVERSITY (Cultural Awareness)

Objective: Residents will have and use programs and services that promote appreciation and understanding of their personal heritage and the heritage of others in the community.

Objective 1: Children from birth to age five, who attend storytimes at Fort Lupton Public &School Library, both English and Spanish speakers, will have and use library programs and services designed to ensure that they will enter school ready to learn to read, write, and listen.

Objective 2: Parents and caregivers in the Fort Lupton area, both English and Spanish speakers, will learn pre©\reading skills while children experience the joy of reading.

Objective 1: Enable students to find, evaluate and effectively use information from print and non©\print resources in order to succeed in school.

Objective 2: Students and the Fort Lupton Community will know that reading is valued as a lifetime skill, because promotion of reading supports the fundamental premise that a print and information environment is as important to students and the community as the sports program.

Objective: All residents will have and use access to library services and materials.

Objective: Job descriptions for all library staff will be reviewed and rewritten to support current library services and the new Long Range Plan for services.
